The organisation operates under the direction of a Board of Management, which is made up of local community members and receives funding from the Department of Social Services (DSS)

Jobmatch Employment Agency is proud to have been servicing the Gympie, Cooloola and SOUTH Burnett Regions since 1992.

Disability and Indigenous Employment Strategy

Jobmatch Employment is committed to the Australian Governments’ social inclusion agenda and in particular seeks to improve employment participation opportunities for people with disabilities and Indigenous Australians.

According to current statistics almost 20% of all unemployed people receiving income support have a disability (workplace.gov.au). It is also recognised that the incidence of disability increases with age and as a result the proportion of unemployed people with a disability is expected to continue to increase.

It is also recognised that Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people are the most disadvantaged identifiable group within the Australian society and are significantly under-represented in the Australian workforce.

To this end, Jobmatch Employment has developed its Disability Employment Strategy and Indigenous Employment Strategy to support the employing and retaining of Indigenous Australians and people with disabilities including within the organisation. These documents are available on request from the Jobmatch Office.
